Michael Denmeade, director of therapeutic recreation at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, received the Governor’s Award as Professional of the Year at the Brain Injury Association of Vermont’s annual conference.
Daring to Care, a program that introduces young teens to healthcare careers, graduated five students recently.
The program at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor includes 17 hours of classroom work, followed by volunteer rotations in various hospital departments.
The graduates are: Gailin Pease, Windsor; Liam McGhee, Sunapee; Bobbi Hart, West Hartford; Bryanna Cook, Claremont; and Samantha Lavertue, Claremont.
