Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center Graduates Students from Dare to Care Program

WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, a nonprofit hospital, graduated four junior high and high school students from its Dare to Care student volunteer program this summer. The 17-hour course offers 13 to 18 year olds the opportunity to learn about careers in healthcare by working directly with Hospital staff as a patient care assistant. Participants are taught communication skills and confidentiality policies in class settings. Dare To Care volunteers are also trained in infection control methods and CPR during clinical portions of the curriculum.

Mt. Acutney Hospital and Health Center Employees Participate in National Bike to Work Day

Employees completed an eight-mile trip to promote alternative transportation

WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, a not-for-profit community hospital, recently participated in National Bike to Work Day as part of its ongoing commitment to provide employees with tools to become active and stay engaged in wellness activities. The organization arranged an eight-mile round trip route for participants from Paradise Sports to the Hospital.
