Catherine Schneider, MD is the Chief Medical Officer of Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, Vermont. Dr. Schneider was born in New Jersey, earned a BS in Biology/Premed from the University of Scranton, PA and Medical Degree from New Jersey Medical School. She did her Surgical Residency at UMDNJ in New Jersey and fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery in White Plains, New York. She earned a Masters Degree in Management, Health Care Administration from the New England College in 2006.
Her surgical experience includes four years of general surgery in Northern New Jersey, general surgery at Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon New Hampshire until 2008, general surgery at Valley Regional Hospital and Mt. Ascutney Hospital from 2008 to present.
Dr. Schneider became the Chief Medical Officer at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in 2011 and is responsible for oversight of Peer Review, annual review of employed medical staff, development and implementation of annual quality plan and goals, administrator of the quality, risk management and social services departments.
Dr. Schneider lives in Lebanon, NH with her husband Matt. They enjoy cycling, cross-country skiing and other outdoor activities.
