Community CPR Schedule – Winter/Spring 2011/2012

Heartsaver AED -- Adult/Child (Infant CPR can be added upon request)

The Heartsaver AED course is designed to teach CPR, use of an AED and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended participants are lay rescuers, especially those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace, such as security guards, firefighters, police, teachers and coaches. Participants will receive a certification card upon successful completion of the CPR Critical Skill Test.

First Aid with Adult/Child CPR & AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
(This is a two day class, Infant CPR can be added on request)

Monday & Tuesday March 12th & 13th Cardiac Rehab 6:00-9:30pm $75

Participants will receive a certification card upon successful completion of the CPR Critical Skill Test.

These classes teach CPR for victims of all ages (including the use of a barrier device and bag-mask device), use of an AED, and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended participants are healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses. EMTs, RT, PT, OT, physician assistants, nursing students, aides, and other allied health personnel. Participants will receive a certification card upon successful completion of the CPR Critical Skill Test and a written exam.


  • All classes follow the American Heart Association standards. Each student will receive a book appropriate for their class if they do not already have one.
  • Scholarships are available if someone wishes to take the class and can not afford the quoted price.

The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.
