The Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS) have created the Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI), a program designed to provide consumers with detailed information and quality measures on the nations Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing homes.

Because we strongly believe that the public should have access to meaningful, valid and comparable data, our ultimate goal is to inform consumers so they can be more involved in their health care decision-making.

We use an additional tool of regular patient satisfaction surveys to measure our care quality at Mt. Ascutney Hospitals Nursing Home Facility. Our evaluation process is provided by My Inner View,  a national healthcare industry vendor that measures patient and family satisfaction.
