Financial Information
Your health insurance information will be obtained at the time of referral and before admission. Every effort will be made to verify the extent of your insurance coverage. If your coverage is less than 100% of the proposed length of stay, you will be notified. Financial assistance or payment plans may be available. Your case manager will be able to obtain and assist you with the necessary forms. The cost of many services is reflected in the daily hospital service charge. You may have additional charges for x-ray, laboratory, pharmacy and therapies. Staff in the business office can explain the charges on the itemized statement. The fees charged by your own physician or surgeon do not appear on the hospital bill. As our hospital is affiliated with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, some medical services may be provided at that facility and will be billed from their business office.
Please Note: At Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, no patient is ever turned away due to inability to pay. If payment of your bill presents a hardship, please speak to your case manager about our financial assistance and payment plans.
