Surveys to be collected through June: local participation needed
WINDSOR, VT – A good hospital offers services and programs that are valuable and meaningful to the population it serves. To learn more about the health concerns and priorities of the local community, five regional medical centers are inviting residents to participate in a Community Needs Assessment Survey.
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is proud to welcome Rheumatologist Carey J. Field, MD to our team of medical specialists. Having joined the staff in January, Dr. Field is currently accepting patients for diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases and clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, and heritable connective tissue disorders. She will be working alongside the Hospital’s regionally known rheumatologist Dr. David Podell.
The Diabetes Self-Management Education Program at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has received official accreditation from the American Association of Diabetes Education (AADE). This certification is awarded to programs and organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to the field of diabetes education by offering quality programming to support diabetes patients in self-managing the disease. Accreditation ensures that each program meets the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support.
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is pleased to welcome Physician Assistant MacKenzie Monahan to the medical team at Ottauquechee Health Center in Woodstock. As a same-day provider, Monahan will focus primarily on patients with urgent but non-life-threatening medical needs, such as acute illnesses, fever and flu, and sports- or accident-related injuries.
WINDSOR, VT—Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) announces the opening of a new podiatry location at Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock, VT. Podiatrist Jeffrey King, DPM, a Hospital staff member since 2009, began seeing patients at OHC in October and continues to provide podiatry care at MAHHC in Windsor as well.
WINDSOR, VT—Doctor Ivan Levin is the newest member of the Internal Medicine team at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC). Having joined the MAHHC medical staff in October Dr. Levin is currently accepting new patients, offering both primary care and acute care services.
WINDSOR, VT—Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) is proud to welcome Herbert Ip, MD to its growing team of staff hospitalists. With the addition of Doctor Ip, the Hospitalist team at MAHHC now has five full-time providers, including four physicians and one nurse practitioner. MAHHC hospitalist physicians specialize in the care of hospitalized patients during their stay at Mt. Ascutney Hospital, as well as working with hospital staff and administration to enhance the overall experiences of inpatients at MAHHC.
WINDSOR, VT, August 11, 2014 -- Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) is pleased to announce the addition of Physiatrist Dr. Annice Mason to its Acute Rehabilitation team. A board-eligible Physiatrist, Dr. Mason’s focus is offering patient-centered, non-surgical treatment methods and comprehensive rehabilitation care. The additon of Dr. Mason means that MAHHC can once again offer outpatient, as well as inpatient, services in physiatry.
