Flu season is fast approaching and Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced its annual schedule of free flu clinics.
Gay L. Landstrom, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, has been named interim Chief Executive Officer of Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC).
Landstrom, who serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system, will serve temporarily while MAHHC conducts a search for a successor to Kevin W. Donovan, who was named CEO at LRGHealthcare in Laconia, NH, on May 4. Donovan will leave Mt. Ascutney Hospital on June 15, 2016.
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that Kevin W. Donovan, Hospital President and CEO since 2010, will be leaving his position June 15, 2016.
Donovan recently accepted the position of President and CEO at LRGHealthcare in New Hampshire.

Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced the appointment of Deanna Orfanidis, RN to the position of Interim Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center. Ms. Orfanidis had previously been Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Orthopaedics and other service lines at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (DH).
WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center recently announced that Jennifer Connors, MD, has joined the Hospital’s medical staff as Director of Psychicatric Services. Dr. Connors is a general psychiatrist with extensive experience in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. She assesses and treats the mental health care needs of patients and their families. She has treated from her private practice and within the network of community mental health centers throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.
WINDSOR, VT – Thanks to a grant from the Susan Sebastian Foundation of Waterbury, Vermont, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center recently announced plans to purchase original artwork for display in all 35 of the Hospital’s patient rooms. Individual artists and photographers are invited to submit work for a juried exhibit and sale that will be held at both the Hospital in Windsor and at the Hospital’s Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock VT. Deadline for submission of work is 5:00 PM on Monday, November 2nd.

To learn more about the health concerns and priorities of the local community, five regional medical centers are inviting residents to participate in a Community Needs Assessment Survey.
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is proud to welcome Rheumatologist Carey J. Field, MD to our team of medical specialists. Having joined the staff in January, Dr. Field is currently accepting patients for diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases and clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, and heritable connective tissue disorders. She will be working alongside the Hospital’s regionally known rheumatologist Dr. David Podell.
