Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) welcomed back former patients and their families to the 26th annual Rehabilitation Reunion held in the courtyard of the hospital’s Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, September 20. The gathering was part of MAHHC’s celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, from September 16-22.
This October, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) is inviting the community to participate in The OHC Mosaic Project, a tile-making event to create a beautiful mural for the exterior wall of the Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock, Vermont. The event will be hosted by the Woodstock Elementary School, and tile-making will take place October 24-27, 2018.
The Rehabilitation Center Courtyard at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) will be the site of this year’s Adaptive Equipment Demo, a demonstration of adaptive sports equipment and showcase for year-round programs from Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports. The event takes place on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Current and former MAHHC patients, family members, staff members, and the general public are invited to attend.
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) hosted Vermont Governor Phil Scott, members of his cabinet, and extended cabinet on Monday, July 23 for a lunchtime roundtable discussion about the Hospital’s experiences and insights related to healthcare reform and community health initiatives. The Governor and his team also took a tour of the Hospital’s recently renovated Acute Rehabilitation Center. In addition to the Governor’s team, attendees included Dartmouth-Hitchcock CEO and President Joanne M. Conroy, MD, as well as several Windsor County legislators.

Ascutney Hospital (MAH) Golf Classic at the Woodstock Inn and Resort Club, an 18-hole masterpiece designed by legendary course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr., surrounded by panoramic views of the Kedron Valley. The tournament attracted 115 golfers and raised over $40,000 for Mt.

Changes within the healthcare industry were examined including proposed 2% Medicare cuts, Nursing Home reimbursement rates and Medicaid cost shifts.

The event was free to the public and featured educational screenings and demonstrations focused on healthy lifestyles. Attendees also learned about the Hospital’s services including hand therapy, same day surgery and hospice care. In addition, the fair held activities for children including face painting, magic shows and games.
