Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center to host 25th Anniversary Rehabilitation Reunion

WINDSOR, VT –Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) will hold their 25th Anniversary Rehabilitation Reunion on Tuesday, September 19 from 2-4 PM at the Acute Rehabilitation Center at the Hospital, located at 289 County Road in Windsor. The annual public event will honor and celebrate those who have completed physical rehabilitation as it brings together former patients, their families and the MAHHC caregivers who have been instrumental in their recoveries.

“For 25 years, the MAHHC Rehabilitation Reunion of patients and caregivers has been a highlight on our calendar,” says Joe Perras, MD, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer of MAHHC, who will deliver opening remarks at the reunion. “We’re excited to once again provide the chance for attendees to meet, mingle and share their rehabilitation stories and experiences here at MAHHC and at home.”

This year’s reunion highlights include a commemorative “hands-on” canvas that attendees will have the opportunity to help create while they learn more about MAHHC’s 25-year journey through remarks by special guest speakers, inspirational stories from MAHHC Acute Rehabilitation Center patients and other activities.  Attendees will be able to tour the Hospital’s state-of-the-art Acute Rehabilitation Center, which recently earned renewed 3-year CARF accreditation. Refreshments will be served.

“The MAHHC Rehabilitation Reunion is always a joyful and positive gathering,” says Belinda Needham-Shropshire, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Mt. Ascutney Hospital.  “Our staff loves to have the opportunity to catch up with former patients and see first hand how they’re doing. It’s inspiring to hear patients share their success stories about living independently again and enjoying life.”

The event is open to the public but RSVP for the reunion is encouraged and is necessary for anyone requiring special assistance. For more information and to RSVP, please call (802) 674-7088.
