WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, a non-profit community hospital, hosted a legislative breakfast meeting with State dignitaries and local leaders on January 28th. Changes within the healthcare industry were examined including proposed 2% Medicare cuts, Nursing Home reimbursement rates and Medicaid cost shifts.
The group also discussed financial planning for the Green Mountain Care Board, a group of independent citizens charged with ensuring that changes in the health system improve quality of care while stabilizing costs.
