Sean C. O’Brien, PA-C, recently transitioned to a full-time staff position at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center. Previously he had been a per-diem staff member at MAHHC and worked for several years at the Dartmouth College Student Health Service.
Vickie Day, RN, has been chosen as the February Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center. Vickie is a staff nurse on the Acute Medical-Surgical unit and provides care for acute, swing and same-day surgery services. She has also served on MAHHC oncology and rehabilitation departments. In addition to her nursing responsibilities, Vickie is also a preceptor for new staff members, and recognized for her outstanding abilities as a teacher and role model.
Gloria LaClair has been selected as January Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, in recognition of sustained service excellence. LaClair, who works in the Hospital’s nutrition services, was cited for her strong work ethic, her willingness to help when needed, and her positive attitude.
WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has named Ellen Stone, LPN, as Employee of the Month for December, 2015.
Stone is a licensed practical nurse who works the night shift on the acute care unit. She also assists in quality audits of the Hospital’s medication reconciliation process.
WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has named Samantha Abrahamsen its Employee of the Month for November 2015.
WINDSOR, VT –Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has named Paige Davidson its Employee of the Month for October 2015.
Davidson works in the registration office for MAHHC’s Patient Centered Medical Home. Her supervisor, Heather Rumrill, praised Davidson for her “willingness to pitch in and do everything she can to help out.”
WINDSOR, VT – Annice Mason, MD, a Physiatrist at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, was recently awarded primary board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Physiatrists (sometimes called rehabilitation physicians) are medical doctors who specialize in the treatment of injuries and illnesses that affect movement. In order to become board certified, physicians must complete a minimum of four years of training plus one year of clinical practice.
WINDSOR, VT – Steve Usher has been selected as Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC).
Usher, who is head of MAHHC’s Central Sterile Supply, is a certified CSR technician who brings excellence to every aspect of his work. His responsibilities include maintaining high standards of sterility and care for the equipment and supplies used in the Hospital’s operating room and throughout the facility.
WINDSOR, VT – Linda Hazard, RPT, has been selected as employee of the month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center.
WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center recently announced that the Hospital’s entire radiology team has earned certification in CT scanning from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), the world’s largest credentialing organization that seeks to ensure high quality patient care in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy.
In addition, the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) has recertified the Hospital’s mammography program.
