Mt. Ascutney Hospital Director of Community Health Jill Lord Honored by Vital Communities at Seventh Annual Heroes & Leaders Celebration

Jill Lord, RN, MS, Director of Community Health at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) was named as one of the region’s Heroes & Leaders by the regional nonprofit Vital Communities, at the organization’s annual banquet recently in Quechee, Vermont at the Quechee Club.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital Names Sara Gosselin, Radiology Supervisor, Employee of the Month for June 2018

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced the selection of Sara Gosselin, RT (R) (M) (CT) ARRT as Employee of the Month for June, 2018. Gosselin serves as MAHHC Radiology Supervisor.

As Radiology Supervisor, Gosselin directs and coordinates radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures, and oversees staff in the operation of imaging equipment, while supporting patient care by resolving radiology issues with staff members and working to maintain quality assurance in a safe environment.

Five Nurses Honored at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center’s First Annual Nurses Week Awards

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) recently hosted a gathering of employees and friends at the first annual Nurses Week Awards, which was inaugurated to recognize nursing professionals who go above and beyond for their patients and colleagues. The event was held as part of National Nurses Week, which was celebrated from May 6 to May 12. Light refreshments were served.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital event honors 33 staff members for more than 535 years of service

On April 19, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) recognized 34 employees who have collectively served the Hospital for more than 535 years. Staff members were honored at a special Employee Service Awards dinner in the Hospital’s newly renovated café, where MAHHC President, CEO and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joseph Perras personally thanked them for their contributions and commitment to the Hospital, its patients and the community.

Tyson Taft named Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center Employee of the Month for April

Tyson Taft, a key member of the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) maintenance staff has earned the designation of Employee of the Month for the month of April, 2018.

As a member of the Hospital’s maintenance department, Taft is responsible for maintenance and repair of facilities and mechanical systems. He also is certified and responsible for administering the Hospital’s hazardous materials handling program.

Nutrition Services Department named Team of the Month for March by Mt. Ascutney Hospital

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that the entire Nutrition Services Department at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center has earned the honor of Team of the Month for March, 2018. The Nutrition Services Department provides healthy meals to patients, employees, and visitors 365 days a year.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital Names Michael Leathe and Mike Lane as Team of the Month for January

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that Michael Leathe and Mike Lane have been selected as Team of the Month for January, 2018. Both Leathe and Lane are Clinical Application Analysts in the Hospital’s Information Technology department.

As Clinical Technology Analysts, Leathe and Lane are responsible for designing and implementing information systems to optimize organizational efficiency at MAHHC. They also serve as troubleshooters, solving problems and providing ongoing training to fellow staff members.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital names April Lyman as Employee of the Month for October

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that April Lyman has earned Employee of the Month honors for October, 2017. Lyman is a Billing Patient Accounts Representative at the Hospital.

As a Billing Patient Accounts Representative, Lyman is responsible for follow up of all accounts billed to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy of all information and forwarding rebills to the proper payer in a timely manner.
