Paige Davidson named October Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center

WINDSOR, VT –Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has named Paige Davidson its Employee of the Month for October 2015.

Davidson works in the registration office for MAHHC’s Patient Centered Medical Home.  Her supervisor, Heather Rumrill, praised Davidson for her “willingness to pitch in and do everything she can to help out.”

American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation awards Board Certification to Dr. Annice Mason of Mt. Ascutney Hospital & Health Center

WINDSOR, VT – Annice Mason, MD, a Physiatrist at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, was recently awarded primary board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Physiatrists (sometimes called rehabilitation physicians) are medical doctors who specialize in the treatment of injuries and illnesses that affect movement. In order to become board certified, physicians must complete a minimum of four years of training plus one year of clinical practice.

Steve Usher selected as Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center

WINDSOR, VT – Steve Usher has been selected as Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC).

Usher, who is head of MAHHC’s Central Sterile Supply, is a certified CSR technician who brings excellence to every aspect of his work. His responsibilities include maintaining high standards of sterility and care for the equipment and supplies used in the Hospital’s operating room and throughout the facility.

100% of Mt. Ascutney Hospital radiology technologists certified for mammography and CT scanning

WINDSOR, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center recently announced that the Hospital’s entire radiology team has earned certification in CT scanning from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), the world’s largest credentialing organization that seeks to ensure high quality patient care in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy.

In addition, the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) has recertified the Hospital’s mammography program.

Linda Penn named Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center

WINDSOR, VT – Linda Penn has been selected as employee of the month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center.

Penn, a member of the Hospital’s Housekeeping Services Department since 2001, was recognized for her performance excellence in promoting the highest standards of cleanliness.

“Linda understands the value and importance of her work in implementing critical infection control standards, especially in the busy Emergency Department,“ says supervisor Pat Titus. “She is a hard-working and dedicated employee, and is always committed to doing the best job she can.”

Kevin Donovan, CEO of Mt. Ascutney Hospital, named Arthur Vining Davis Fellow at 2015 Aspen Ideas Festival

WINDSOR, VT –  Kevin W. Donovan, CEO of Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) was recently selected to join the inaugural class of Arthur Vining Davis Fellows at the 2015 Aspen Ideas Festival. Fellows were selected from a competitive field of national nominees who are emerging leaders with diverse backgrounds and who represent the entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity and leadership qualities of Mr. Arthur Vining Davis, the longtime CEO of the Alcoa Corporation and supporter of the Festival.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that Margaret Hugg, RN is the recipient of the Employee of the Month award for February, 2015. Each month, MAHHC recognizes employees who have demonstrated a commitment to sustained service excellence in their respective departments and have maintained a spirit of compassion, collaboration, and continuous hard work within the MAHHC community.
