Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center nurses named Nurse of the Year and Outstanding School Nurse by Vermont State Nurses Association

WINDSOR, VT, June 16, 2014  --  Two nurses from Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHCC) were recognized for outstanding service by the Vermont State Nurses Association (VSNA) during the organization’s Centennial Celebration at the Double Tree by Hilton in South Burlington, Vermont on Monday, May 12.

Carol Morin, Housekeeping Staff Member, Named Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center

Nancy Lemery Named Employee of the Month at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center

WINDSOR, VT, March 20, 2014 – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) Medical Laboratory Technician Nancy Lemery has been named Employee of the Month for March 2014 for her positive attitude and contributions as a member of the Hospital’s laboratory team. The monthly award recognizes employees who have demonstrated sustained service excellence with caring and compassion.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center Physician Assistant Earns Prestigious Credential in Emergency Medicine

WINDSOR, VT, February 27, 2014 – George Brothers, PA-C, a certified physician assistant (PA-C) at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is one of only 108 PA-C’s nationwide to recently earn a specialty credential called a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Brothers is one of only six PAs in Vermont to earn the CAQ credential since the program’s inception in 2011.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center Welcomes Physician Assistant

WINDSOR, VT—Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, a non-profit community hospital, is pleased to announce that Patrick Lyons, Ph. D., PA-C, has joined its medical staff as a Physician Assistant in the primary care practice in Windsor. In this role, Lyons examines patients, diagnoses injuries and illnesses, and provides various treatments under the direction of primary care physicians.
