Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that Angel Oliver, LPN, has been selected as Employee of the Month for April 2019. The monthly award recognizes employees who have demonstrated sustained service excellence in their respective departments and have displayed compassion, a caring approach, and continuous hard work within their community.
As a nurse at Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock, Vermont, Oliver provides comprehensive nursing-level care for patients, including performing medical tests and analyzing results, administering medications, operating medical equipment, recording patients’ symptoms and medical histories, and more.
Oliver’s supervisor, OHC Practice Manager Anel Sirois, calls her a hardworking, team-oriented nurse who goes above and beyond every day. “Without Angel, our practice would not function as smoothly,” says Sirois. “She is reliable, always smiling, and willing to roll up her sleeves and take on extra tasks that are brought to her attention. She goes outside of her regular duties to help others in the clinic. Angel has impeccable attention to detail, is a mentor to other nursing staff and is the definition of a team player. Patients and providers constantly ask for Angel to be their nurse. Angel is always striving to enhance her quality improvement knowledge and skills and selflessly gives up her time to help keep her community safe and healthy.”
Oliver, a resident of Woodstock, is a graduate of Emerald Coast Technical College in DeFuniak Springs, FL. She has been a member of the OHC staff since 2016.
