In honor of National Hospital Week, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is celebrating the dedicated individuals who power our hospital with compassion and expertise. Each day, we’re featuring an employee who makes a meaningful impact behind the scenes and at the bedside.

What is your title and unit/department?

Dietetic aide Sr. with Nutrition Services at MAHHC.

When did you start at MAHHC?

Summer of 2012. I started as an after-school dishwasher and have taken over more roles over the years.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Mealtimes are a part of everyone's day, it's nice to have a positive impact for many. I love hearing from satisfied customers, and I love being able to offer, serve, or help be a part of meals that I know people enjoy!

What’s something that you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

I'm proud of making satisfying food. I got married to my wife Lexi in 2022. I continue to keep and drive a classic car in the summertime.

What’s something that most people don’t know about your role?

I'm trained in most (not every) positions in the kitchen and step in to different roles frequently to keep our needs covered (I.e. to cover people's vacations or staff shortages). Most recently (last year) I took on a diet tech position, where I'm patient facing to take meal orders for the next day.
