In honor of National Hospital Week, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is celebrating the dedicated individuals who power our hospital with compassion and expertise. Each day, we’re featuring an employee who makes a meaningful impact behind the scenes and at the bedside.

What is your title and unit/department?

Maintenance technician, Maint. / Security.

When did you start at MAHHC?

April 2018.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I like that there is variety of things to do in the day, which keeps it interesting. We also get to help out every dept. in the hospital, so we get to see and help a lot of different people from patients to employees.

What’s something that you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

I have built a section of roof on the IP Rehab end of the building, remodeled a couple of rooms throughout the hospital, and redone a condo that traveling doctors and nurses use.

We are in the middle of a remodel for Ophthalmology in the Professional Building, which will help them grow here at MAHHC.

Along with many other smaller projects that have upgraded the building and equipment in the building which makes MAHHC a better hospital for future generations.

What’s something that most people don’t know about your role?

When I was hired on it was for more of a carpentry role, of which I have over twenty years of experience in.
