Addressing the needs of her patients and co-workers with good communication skills and empathy. Collaborating with clinical support staff, physicians, hospital departments and other healthcare professionals, documents patient status, and provides clear, concise, and updated reports to the RN in charge. Ayla is also expected to participate in quality improvement projects and educational programs, and to clarify information for staff, visitors, and patients on a day-to-day basis.
Her nominator, Sarah Hicks, said, “Ayla has consistently gone above and beyond in her role as an LNA, demonstrating exceptional dedication, compassion, and professionalism. Ayla has worked numerous night shifts as the only LNA on the Acute floor, stepping up without hesitation to ensure that patient care remains safe, thorough, and uninterrupted. Her ability to manage these demanding shifts efficiently and with a smile speaks volumes about her work ethic and commitment. She is always checking in with the nurses on the floor to see where she can assist, embodying true teamwork and collaboration. Ayla’s willingness to help wherever needed does not go unnoticed and greatly contributes to a supportive and positive work environment. Patient safety and quality care are clearly her top priorities. She consistently provides attentive, compassionate care and ensures that every patient is treated with dignity and respect. In addition, her documentation is impeccable—accurate, thorough, and timely—helping to maintain continuity of care and uphold high standards. Ayla is a dependable, hardworking, and truly valued member of the team. Her dedication and willingness to assist anywhere she is needed make a meaningful difference every shift she works.
