
Windsor, VT – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC), a Dartmouth Health member, has named Cara Goodenough, a referral services specialist, MAHHC’s Employee of the Month for September 2025. MAHHC recognizes employees who consistently exceed expectations with reliability and daily dedication to their work.
In her role, Goodenough serves as a vital link between patients and services, helping coordinate requests, appointments, and necessary documentation. She provides support for patients and families navigating the referral process, providing clarity through their health care journey. She joined MAHHC in August 2011.
Gwenn Johnson, a referral coordinator and Goodenough’s nominator, said, “Cara is great at what she does and in her role she talks to many patients, family members and insurance companies on the telephone. She excels at providing families with the information on our services offered at Mt. Ascutney and what options are available to our patients. Cara is a great coworker, always dependable and is very diligent. She has a fun personality and an infectious smile.”
