Chief Nursing Officer
Moriah Tidwell, MSN, RN, was appointed the Chief Nursing Officer of Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) in July 2025.
Prior to this role, Moriah served as MAHHC’s Interim Director of Nursing Operations. In this position, she managed nursing practice at the hospital and oversaw day-to-day operations of both the Emergency Department and 25-bed inpatient unit. She first joined MAHHC in 2024 as the Unit Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department.
Moriah had previously worked for two decades at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). After starting as a Clinical Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, she moved to the Emergency Department, where she went on to serve as RN Unit Supervisor, Unit Nurse Manager, and Director of Emergency Services and Inpatient Psychiatry. As director, she implemented a new behavioral health unit within the Emergency Department and served as Operations Chief for the COVID-19 response, developing the hospital surge plan. Moriah continues to work as a sexual assault nurse examiner at DHMC.
Moriah received both her MSN and BSN from Norwich University. She also completed the Microsystem Coaching Program at The Dartmouth Institute, and she is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and Emergency Nurses Association. In 2018, she received the Donna Crowley Excellence in Nursing Leadership Award.
She is a resident of Windsor, VT, where she resides with her family. Moriah enjoys spending time with her family watching her kids grow. She also has a small farm that keeps her busy.
