Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC), a Dartmouth Health member, has named LaRae Strom, a personal care attendant, MAHHC’s Employee of the Month for April 2026. MAHHC recognizes employees who consistently exceed expectations with reliability and daily dedication to their work.
In her role, Strom maintains departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards while providing resident-centered care, including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring and documenting health status, supporting care plans, and contributing to housekeeping, meal service, and recreational activities at Historic Homes of Runnemede (HHR). She first joined HHR in April 2025.
According to Jayna McWhorter, her nominator, “LaRae Strom consistently demonstrates the dedication, compassion, and teamwork that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. She is someone who can always be counted on to step up when needed—covering shifts, supporting colleagues, and ensuring our residents receive the highest level of care.”
McWhorter continued, “LaRae shows exceptional strength and compassion when supporting residents receiving hospice care, providing comfort and dignity during end-of-life. Her calm presence and experience help both residents and families feel supported during difficult times. Whether responding to a last-minute need or supporting the team through a challenging day, LaRae leads by example and embodies the spirit of service that defines the HHR community.”
