Lauren J. Pallet, OD, MS, FAAO
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center
I truly enjoy my work in primary care, where I get to help patients understand why catching eye diseases early is so important. Eye diseases can sometimes be linked to other health issues. So, I collaborate closely with primary care, rheumatology, and neurology experts.
Working with eyes brings me great joy! I chose this specialty because it allows me to teach people about the significance of caring for their eyes. I then team up with the right specialists for the best results in the long run.
My goal is for patients to feel like they've had a thorough check-up and that their voice matters. I always strive to listen so that I can understand the root of the problem and talk through the available options with the patient.
For me, success means not only addressing what I observe during examinations but also making sure that patients feel better. I work with patients to develop a treatment plan that suits them perfectly. I want every individual to feel like we've listened to all their worries and tackled them.
