VeggieVanGo™ is a program of the Vermont Food Bank (VFB) to provide fresh produce, perishable products and shelf stable food to Vermonters facing hunger.
The aim of the program is to provide produce at no cost to people who cannot afford to buy enough fruit and vegetables to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Several Vermont hospitals including Mt. Ascutney Hospital work in partnership with the VFB to promote better health for Vermont families. There are also numerous other resources for free and low-cost meals.
The program is held at the Goodyear Property in Windsor, VT. It occurs the second Tuesday of each month, from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
Enter at River Street, right into the Goodyear Property, exit through the gate onto McCarty Avenue.
Look for the VeggieVanGo signs, and prepare to pick up pre-packaged items drive-thru style. Please stay in your vehicle, in line and the volunteers will bring to you.
In case of bad weather
Please understand and expect possible cancellations during the winter due to road conditions or cold temperatures. We want to protect you and our volunteers, so please check our Facebook page or this page before heading out if slippery or cold.
